From October 3 and 4, 2025, Suceava (Romania) hosted the activities of the European project IDEAL Sport4All, dedicated to promoting sport as a tool for inclusion for people with disabilities.
The Italian delegation from Dry Art was welcomed by the local partners of AJSPT Suceava, taking part in a series of meetings, adapted sports sessions, and discussions on European best practices in sports accessibility.
On Friday, October 3, at the Suceava Technical College gym, activities were organized for people with motor disabilities using wheelchairs, involving high school students in a shared participation experience.This was followed by interviews and direct testimonies aimed at collecting stories and perspectives from those who experience sport as a means of inclusion.
On Saturday, October 4, the program continued with an intense day of practical activities: at the Municipal Sports Club of Suceava, sessions of adapted athletics were held with the participation of children and students from the Special Education Centers of the Suceava and Iași counties, involving young people with intellectual, hearing, and visual disabilities.
In the afternoon, at the Shinzo Ran club gym, an adapted judo session took place with the participation of children with Down syndrome from Suceava, Bucharest, and Baia Mare.
The weekend concluded with the delegation’s return to Iași, after three days filled with activities, dialogue, and sharing—further strengthening the bond among partners and reinforcing IDEAL’s shared commitment to promoting equal access to sport across Europe.
